### 🍂 Woodlandwise Wild Days – Autumn Adventure

Join us for three days of autumn adventure in the woods this October holiday, where children can slow down, get muddy and immerse themselves in the magic of the changing season.

Across our three Wild Days, we’ll explore the woodland as it transforms for autumn — collecting treasures, noticing seasonal changes, building dens, learning bushcraft skills, cooking over the fire, creating with natural materials and making plenty of time for wild play and imagination.

Each day will bring something different, with a balance of **adventure, creativity, nature connection, practical skills and good old-fashioned outdoor fun**. Children will have the freedom to explore and follow their curiosity, while being supported by experienced Woodlandwise leaders in our safe and nurturing woodland environment.

Expect crunchy leaves, autumn colours, woodland discoveries, muddy adventures, warm fires, stories, laughter and perhaps the odd woodland creature or two!

Coming for the full three days also gives children the opportunity to settle into the rhythm of the woodland, build friendships and develop their confidence and skills as the adventure unfolds.

Suitable for children who love being outdoors, getting stuck in and discovering where their curiosity takes them.

Our Wild Days give children the freedom to explore, play, create and connect with nature in a safe and supportive woodland setting. Expect bushcraft, den building, fire, nature crafts, woodland games, imaginative play and plenty of time to simply be outdoors.

Each day is shaped by the season, the woodland and the children themselves — with opportunities to build confidence, develop new skills, make friends and have a whole lot of fun along the way.

**Forces and Me Forest School – October Holiday Sessions for Forces Families**

**Location:** Duchess Wood, Helensburgh  
**Who it’s for:** Children with a parent currently serving in the armed forces and who are Primary aged or S1

- **Sunday 4th 11.00-1.00 and 1.45-3.45**
- **Friday 9th 11.00-1.00 (ASN Session) and 1.45-3.45**

Join us for some autumnal woodland adventures, discovery and connection at our *Forces and Me Forest School* sessions – specially designed for children from armed forces families.

These fun and supportive sessions give children the chance to unwind, explore nature and build confidence in a calm, nurturing outdoor setting. Through typical forest school activities like den building, fire lighting, nature crafts, tool use, games, and team challenges, participants develop practical skills, resilience, and strong peer bonds.

Each day is tailored to the age group attending, with a focus on creativity, cooperation and wellbeing.

++***This holiday we are offering one dedicated ASN session with limited numbers, and the option for one parent to stay if preferred.***++

Led by experienced forest school practitioners- Helen & Lynne, these sessions offer a space to relax, make new friends, and enjoy the benefits of nature – especially important for children navigating the unique challenges of military family life.

**Free to attend – limited spaces available. Booking essential. Only for those families of active serving armed force personnel whose children are of Primary School age, or S1.**
